Chris Robinson has served in the Information and Technology industry for more then 14 years. His career first started as an intern for a school district in Seattle, WA when he was 14 years old.
“Technology has influenced me and my decisions. When i was 6 years old, I remember helping my dad format my first computer”. The first server i ever worked on was a Windows NT IBM xseries 346 2 unit server. This is when I found my niche” – Chris Robinson has always had a passion for technology and how things work. During his childhood he used to take everything apart just to see how it worked and understand it. By the time he was 14 years old he started his own Web Hosting business, shipping servers to contracted data centers for colocation.
The web hosting industry had intrigued Chris. He created a few programs such as a web browser using C# and a full Java based video game by the time he was 13 years old. “I created Hosting42 because no provider would understand my requirements for my game server, with 100 active users 24 hours a day, I needed something with great uptime alot of bandwidth and at an affordable price. I couldn’t find that, so i created Hosting42.”
By the time Chris was 16 years old he had a profitable web hosting business and working as an intern for a school district in Seattle, WA. “The school district had taught me a lot and understanding the enterprise relm of technology had assisted me in Growing Hosting42.” When Chris turned 18 years old he was offered a full time position to join the team as a Systems Administrator Tier 1. Chris worked for the district for more then 4 years before he received an amazing job offer in San Diego, CA. By the time he was 20 years old, he was working as an escalation engineer for another education business Headquartered in San Diego, CA.
Chris continues to operate Hosting42, now called Boxne, LLC. It’s ownership has never changed since 2010. Although it’s equipment has been upgraded, more services have been provisioned and Boxne, LLC is now in Two datacenters across the United States.
“My Career doesn’t end in failure, it ends with pursuing my dreams. Understanding my failures and overcoming them. We are human, we all fail, we all can succeed and we all have our own niche. Mine was Technology. I wake up every morning and strive for success, achievement and learning. Don’t let a difficult step choose your path for you, turn around, take a different path and enjoy your life, career and colleagues”.
You will be faced with challenges it’s how you deal with them. Chris lives by one quote and repeats it on the toughest days.
“Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life”.
